I’m 6’4”, so in keeping with the oversized look, I would have liked it if a larger size than XL (which is what I have) was offered; as is, the back comes down a couple of inches below my belt line. However, I think it still looks good on me. It’s lightweight with a comfortable cotton, almost like linen, and it’s as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures. It’s unusual, a statement piece for sure, but if you can pull it off, I do think it’s pretty special.

Great addition to my wardrobe, it's so free, flowy, and light. It has a strange effect of really making your body look great by obfuscation in a stylized way. Absolutely love the quality of it though there are some loose thread ends here and there. I did have to buy 2 sizes up and order an XL as I'm typically an M in American sizes but that's just how it is with Asian clothing. I paired it with one of the shirts from this site (with buttons) and it looks great! Don't forget to accessorize fellas, mala beads pull it all together! I got it for my partner whose chest measured about 110 cm so we got the 2XL. (He normally wears XL in US sizes.) We got it and it was too small. Eventually Kimonoshi took care of the issue and we got a 4XL which fits great! Very happy overall, but wanted to encourage others to get two sizes bigger than you think.

-This is a great product- I'm 6'1" and ordered the 2XL Its a perfect fit. Sleeves sit at wrists when arms are down and come up to mid forearm with raised arms. Material isn't terribly soft but its not uncomfortable, even on bare skin. Shipping time was definitely reasonable. Highly recommend, go 2 sizes up, and HANDWASH ONLY!

The short review: - DEFINITELY buy two sizes up (and some plain black/white T-shirts to wear with these) - XL fit slightly loose but good, I am 5'9 / 68kg - Pricing is great for the product but there are stitching defects which is to be expected for the low costs The LONG review: Sizing: Two sizes up is the way to go; I'm 5'9 / 68kg / slim and XL initially seemed slightly too loose of a fit but DON'T size down as the back of the kimono will be too high on the backside! Quality: I bought three of these in black/red/blue and ALL of them had multiple stitching defects on them. They are minor and also easily fixed. The stitching looks noticeably bad on the inside if the wind blows it open and whatnot. I was fully expecting them to not be high quality so maybe I'm too harsh giving 4* with consideration to price. Pricing: Honestly, if you know where to look, you can get these for a fraction of the price from Chinese sites. But you aren't going to get any customer support whatsoever and there's a chance it'll never even arrive. By Western standards these are great if you're buying them during a sale and I wouldn't buy this kind of clothing from anywhere but Kimonoshi unless I'm back in the east. My overall impression after two weeks: I absolutely love the aesthetic of these. I've had nothing but compliments. Nobody in the UK is wearing this kind of clothing and even though you stand out from everyone else, you do so in a 'less is more' way. It's like I stand out but 'quietly'. People see it, look away, then immediately look again and ask me where I got it. It's super comfy to wear around the house too. This is a bit of a back-handed compliment; but because of the lower quality of the clothing, you also look like you're not trying too hard. You don't need to buy the cropped pants to look the part either, in fact I rarely wear the cropped pants, I wear a nice pair of sweatpants instead! That may change during summer months though. If Kimonoshi is reading: Thank you for making such cool clothing accessible to us. However, I would gladly pay more than double for higher quality kimonos; less defects, more attention to detail, slightly thicker fabric, and the same goes for the cropped pants. I hope Kimonoshi expands enough to incorporate this quality into their casual-wear Kimonos.

I am very happy with this shirt, which I also ordered in black. I usually wear women's M or S depending in tops and the men's M fit perfectly. The length is also nice at mid-hip at the lowest point for me. The sleeves have two fabric knot buttons - another nice detail. The fabric is like a linen but has more body and has a very slight stretch and subtle pattern. I think it will wash well but I will hang to dry and use a cool iron. I know I will wear both often!

The item was delivered fast and the quality was as expected. The size is definitively appropriate for the Asian market but it would mislead a North-American consumer into getting something too small. It was good that Kimonoshi made it clear during the purchasing process. Maybe they could offer sizing based on several national metrics (e.g., UK, USA, European, etc.) as brands like Adidas do.
